‘Let’s Skate Ocala’ Ice Rink Opens Saturday, Nov. 17
The skating rink will be open through Sunday, Dec. 30.
The City of Ocala’s Ice Skating Rink in Downtown Ocala will be open from mid November thru early January each year. The Downtown Ocala Ice Skating rink (Let’s Skate Ocala) has quickly become a favorite annual tradition and opens during the Light Up Ocala festival each November. So “Let’s Skate Ocala” under the downtown Ocala lights and eat some great food from the area’s downtown restaurants and food trucks!
OCALA, Fla. (Nov. 1, 2018) – The ‘Let’s Skate Ocala’ synthetic ice rink will open to the public Saturday, Nov. 17 in conjunction with Light Up Ocala. The skating rink will be located at Tuscawilla Park, 825 NE Watula Ave., and will be open through Sunday, Dec. 30.
Admission is $5 per person (ages 3 and up) for a 30-minute session. The rink will be open Thursdays from 5 to 9 p.m., Fridays from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 2 to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 4 to 8 p.m. The rink will be closed Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for private rentals and parties. Rental opportunities are available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday at select times. The rink will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, and Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
Free hay rides will take place on Friday nights. Theme nights will be held on select nights from 5 to 10 p.m. throughout the holiday season:
- Friday, Nov. 23 – Family Game Night; 2-for-1 admission
- Friday, Nov. 30 – Skate with the Symphony
- Friday, Dec. 7 – Hawaiian, Limbo and Kona Ice
- Friday, Dec. 14 – Under the Big Top with games and prizes
- Friday, Dec. 21 – Santa’s Workshop with cookie decorating and Reindeer Games
- Friday, Dec. 28 – All Things Disney and Let’s Go to the Movies: “Beauty and the Beast” (2017)
